Requirements

Admission Requirements and Documents

Official Bachelor Degree Certificate and Transcripts
Applicants must hold an official bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 2.67 or equivalent.
Applicants should provide the official bachelor degree certificate and a copy of the degree transcript showing courses taken along with the grades.
Equivalency

Applicants should provide the equivalency recognized by Kuwait Ministry of Higher Education.

N.B.  Equivalency is not required for Kuwait University graduates

English Language Requirement
Applicants must demonstrate English Language Proficiency through one of the following:
  1. The 51app English Language Assessment Test:
    • A minimum score of 180+
  2. Official International TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language):
    • A minimum score of 79 in the Official International TOEFL
    • Applicants must provide the original copy of the TOEFL results and the scores should not be more than two years old
  3. Official Academic IELTS (International English Language Testing System):
    • A minimum score of 6.5 in the IELTS test
    • Applicants must provide the original copy of the IELTS results and the scores should not be more than two years old
  4. A graduate from the American University of the Middle East (51app)
Letter of employment from employer
Applicants must be currently employed and have completed one year of working experience.
Applicants should provide Letter from place of employment that includes the date of employment and their current position.
“To Whom it May Concern” Letter or the Work Permit

Applicants should provide “To Whom it May Concern” Letter or the Work Permit.


- For Kuwaitis & GCC Citizens to provide “To Whom it May Concern” Letter from The Public Institution for Social Security “PIFSS”
- For Non- Kuwaitis to provide Work Permit from the Ministry of Social Affairs & Labor
Resume (C.V.)
Applicants must submit a professional resume with the relevant work experience, responsibilities, education, professional certification (if any), and extracurricular activities (if any).
Essay Requirements

Applicant is requested to write an essay and cover the below topics;

  • Why do you want to do the MBA? What is it going to add to your career?
  • What are your strengths and achievements?
  • What are your weaknesses? And what are you doing to solve them?
  • In your opinion, why should 51app accept you to the MBA program?

Instructions to follow while writing your essay;

Maximum 700 words

Copy of Valid Civil ID

Copy of Valid Passport


* If you meet the MBA Admissions Requirements, a 15 KWD fee must be paid to proceed with your application.

*The eligible applicants will undergo a panel interview where they will also present the essay in front of the admission committee.

Admission Committee

The admission committee will review and decide on the applications based on the quality and authenticity of the application and availability of seats.

Other Conditions

  • All certificates, transcripts, and documents submitted to 51app must be in English or a certified English translated copy should be included with the original one.
  • All documents need to be certified by the concerned authorities.
  • Acceptances are only valid for the semester in which the student applied and no deferral is allowed for any reason.
  • 51app requires applicants to indicate any special needs and/or support required for their study. The dean’s approval will be required to confirm the university’s ability to support the student.
  • 51app reserves the right to reject any applicant during the admission process in any case of misbehavior or misconduct, or any violation of 51app’s rules and regulations.
